Is there a way the Towers can get water auto or you have to manual add water?

YOU PLACE A WIND PUMP NEXT TO THEM AND THEY WILL FILL THEM UP

If you are using the wind powered ones then you do need one wind pump next to each water tower (i.e. one each) If you are using the electric water towers then they all take water from the electric pump and you only need one pump for the entire region.

( you can find out more about setting your region up with electricity at quintonia.net/forum/news-updates/30-electricity#33 )

Looking for a tad more specific info. I'd like to have a wind pump about 200m from the water towers for visual effect. Hoping it would be possible to use relay mode to somehow link things but not sure of maximum ranges or exactly which config needs to say wind pump or relay or... I guess I could just end up faking it and putting an invisible pump near the water towers and make it look like it's getting power from far away. Thoughts?

If you are more looking for 'effect' then you could just put the wind pump out but set the water tower mode to SELF so it fills up without actually needing the pump. If you do want to actually have the water tower being fed from the wind pump, then the distance between the two can be no more than 96m. As a water tower can then feed other water tower(s) in relay mode, an option may be to use the 'water drop' water tower, as you can just hide that under a rock or something! For that option you would:
  1. Put out the Wind pump and put the water drop 96m away from it.
  2. Make sure the water drop is called SF Water Tower
  3. Edit the config notecard in the water drop and change the two items as below:
    Code:
    MODE=WIND WEATHER=0
  4. You would then set one or more water towers, all no more than 96m away from the water droplet, and edit the config notecard in those to have
    Code:
    MODE=RELAY RELAY_WELL=SF Water Tower

There is some information at quintonia.net/information/user-guide/chapter-9-storage-wells that may help.

Fantastic! Thank you very much. That's what I was looking for. I've been reading as much as I can and it's great docs. Sometimes I'm a tad dense.
