Why does the sf table automatic set food start out allowing 4 items then over time will only auto set 1. having to remove that table then add a nwe one.

If there is a product on the table and that product expires, at the moment there is no way for the table to know, so it assumes still there. This could be your issue.

The way to fix is to click on the table and select Reset
